According to published information, the facility will be dedicated to vehicle assembly and production, with a planned capacity of approximately 25,000 units per year. The initiative is part of a broader strategy aimed at increasing the efficiency, resilience, and flexibility of the production network in response to the growing complexity of the product portfolio.<\/p>\n From the perspective of the Czech Automotive Industry Association, this investment significantly expands the Czech automotive industry\u2019s manufacturing base and confirms the Czech Republic\u2019s ability to attract strategically important industrial investments. At the same time, the production of vehicles with diesel and alternative powertrains reflects current industry trends, which place increasing emphasis on technological flexibility and readiness for new types of powertrains.<\/p>\n Daimler Truck\u2019s arrival in Cheb will create approximately 1,100 new jobs, primarily skilled technical and manufacturing positions. The project will also support vocational training and the return of a skilled workforce to the region, with the investor planning to collaborate with local educational institutions. More than half of the employees are expected to have at least a high school education.<\/p>\n Daimler Truck is expected to offer wages approximately 20% higher than the average in the Karlovy Vary Region, which will significantly contribute to raising wage levels in the region and support its economic transformation. The company\u2019s goal is to build a long-term, stable, and reliable team of employees, with a focus on directly hiring local residents during the recruitment process.<\/p>\n The arrival of Mercedes-Benz Trucks in the Czech Republic sends a strong signal to the entire sector.
