The Association of the Automotive Industry presents the companies that have won the right to use the prestigious “Supplier of the Year 2024 in the Czech Republic” label in the 28th year of the Auto of the Year 2024 survey. Parts from domestic companies are not only used in the winning Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but many of them are also part of all five cars that have made it to the final competition this year. The companies entered by AutoSAP also supply parts for the vast majority of all 21 nominated cars.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class has become the Car of the Year 2024 in the Czech Republic, thus the prestigious award “Supplier for the Car of the Year 2024 in the Czech Republic” goes to the following companies:
“I wish the winning car above all sales success and popularity with customers. However, the award also belongs to the supplier companies, without which such a sophisticated product, which the car with its thousands of individual parts is, would not be possible. The importance of Czech suppliers to the automotive industry is confirmed by the fact that you would be hard pressed to find one among the 21 nominated cars that did not contain components made in the Czech Republic. I therefore believe that the strength of Czech suppliers will continue to support both the winning models and the Czech economy in the future,” says Zdeněk Petzl, Executive Director of the Automotive Industry Association.
The list of products supplied to the winning car is very varied – from boot linings, jacks, wedges, ratchets, tyres, washer hoses, various types of carpet, high-strength bolts, door locks and pullers, axle springs, various types of seals, a range of chassis parts, electric parking brakes and more sophisticated components such as electric water pumps.
The Automotive Industry Association was again this year a traditional partner of the Auto of the Year 2024 survey in the Czech Republic and the announcer of the accompanying event Supplier for the Auto of the Year 2024, which this year involved almost two dozen AutoSAP member companies. The twenty-eight edition of the competition allowed domestic automotive suppliers to showcase their products, which were used in a number of not only the winning cars, but also in all the cars entered.
