The Automotive Industry Association welcomes Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ announced plan to build a new production plant in Cheb with a capacity of up to 25,000 trucks per year. This project represents a significant boost to the Czech automotive industry and, at the same time, expands its production portfolio to include a new segment. The project anticipates construction beginning next year, with production ramping up by the end of the decade and the creation of more than 1,000 jobs, not only in manufacturing but also in IT, quality control, and maintenance.
