Mercedes-Benz Trucks plans to manufacture trucks in Cheb. The new investment will boost the Czech automotive industry and employment in the region

The Automotive Industry Association welcomes Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ announced plan to build a new production plant in Cheb with a capacity of up to 25,000 trucks per year. This project represents a significant boost to the Czech automotive industry and, at the same time, expands its production portfolio to include a new segment. The project anticipates construction beginning next year, with production ramping up by the end of the decade and the creation of more than 1,000 jobs, not only in manufacturing but also in IT, quality control, and maintenance. The new facility is to be part of Daimler Truck’s European production network and will be dedicated to the assembly of vehicles with both diesel and alternative powertrains. ...
