Automotive Day 2025 at CTU

About event

The Masaryk Institute of Higher Studies of the Czech Technical University in Prague invites you to the fourth edition of the Automotive Day exhibition of electric cars, which will be held on 9 April 2025 and will feature dozens of vehicles, including representatives of new brands such as Alfa Romeo, Porsche, Jeep, Subaru and Opel. Visitors can enjoy popular test drives and this year, for the first time, sports models, SUVs and commercial vehicles will also be showcased on the Dejvice campus. The opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. will traditionally be hosted by CTU Rector Vojtěch Petráček.

The Automotive Day exhibition, directed by the Masaryk Institute of Higher Studies of the CTU in Prague, will connect the academic sphere with the world of the automotive industry for the fourth time on Wednesday 9 April 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Brands known from previous editions, such as Škoda and VW, Hyundai, Peugeot, Citroën, BMW, Toyota and KIA, will be presenting their latest models. They will be complemented by attractive novelties – for the first time ever, Alfa Romeo and FIAT, Porsche, Jeep, Subaru or Opel will appear in the area in front of NTK. This year, Kopřivnice Tatra will even bring two trucks to Prague, and interesting electric cars such as the Tesla Model Y, MG Cyberster 18 or the electric SUV Lexus RZ 450e will be on display, among many others. In addition, Valeo will demonstrate assistance and autonomous driving systems and there will also be a student formula of the Czech Technical University. Visitors will be able to personally test drive most of the cars on display.

The Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies of CTU is actively involved in projects with industrial partners beyond the scope of this exhibition. Last year, for example, a unique Capture Allure competition was held, implemented together with the Peugeot car company. The students of the MUTS were given free loaned Peugeot electric cars including charging and their task was to create authentic photos and videos. The project was a great success not only among the students, but also on a multinational level – Peugeot is now extending it as a “best practice” to other countries.

“Automotive Day is becoming a tradition and more and more entities are getting involved in it, which makes us happy. This year, the scope of the event was similar to a similar event organized by the Technical University of Munich, which we were originally inspired by. Interest in the exhibition is growing not only among the professional and general public, but also, for example, among high school students, for whom it is a great opportunity to learn about new technologies and get to know CTU better.”

The exhibition is open to all interested parties and is free of charge. It will be officially opened at 9:30 in front of the NTK by the Rector of CTU Vojtěch Petráček, who has taken over the patronage of the event. Support for Automotive Day 2025 is also provided by the Mayor of Prague 6 Jakub Stárek, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Automotive Industry Association (AutoSAP) and the Association of Automobile Importers (SDA).
