The Automotive Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as “AutoSAP”) hereby informs you as to how it processes your personal data in the context of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament, and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), often abbreviated as “GDPR”.

3. Who is your data protection officer?

Since we are not a public authority or public entity, and our main activity is not regular and systematic monitoring of people, and we do not extensively process sensitive personal data, we are not obliged to have a data protection officer, and we do not have any data protection officer at present.

“The list of personal data being processed may differ according to the fields of the registration forms for various events. However, as a standard, we process the data needed to identify the person authorized to attend the event and the data needed to issue a tax document where applicable:

  • Name, surname, and addressing
  • Your employer’s name and your job title
  • Business email address
  • Business telephone number

Registration for events, seminars, conferences, or meetings organized or co-organized by AutoSAP.

5. Do we transfer your personal data to third countries, i.e. countries outside the EU?

We do not transfer your personal data abroad, not even to EU countries.

6. Do you think that we do not process your personal data correctly?

In such case, you may contact us directly or have a right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is The Office for Personal Data Protection.

7. What rights do you have towards us as the controller of your personal data?

At any time, you may request us to:

  • allow you to access your personal data,
  • rectify your personal data that are inaccurate,
  • erase your personal data if the conditions laid down in Article 17 of the GDPR are met, or to restrict their processing.

8. What is meant by the right of access to the personal data?

You may request us to tell you whether we process your personal data.

You may request from us access to the personal data being processed and information about the processing of such data.

You may request us to provide you with a copy of the personal data being processed.

9. Can you request access to the personal data of a person other than you?

You cannot. This right only relates to your data. If you want to request to exercise a right of another person, you must have a power of attorney given by such a person.

10. How to submit such a request?

You may submit such a request in any manner, including email. The authorized worker may request you to prove your identity.

11. By when will you receive a reply to your request?

Information about the actions taken will be provided to you within thirty days as a rule. However, in certain complicated cases, we may extend the period.

12. How much does this request cost?

This request and its handling are free of charge. However, in justified cases, we may request reimbursement of certain costs (e.g. the price of the portable disc, on which you are given a list of all the personal data that we process concerning you).

13. You have given us consent to the processing of your personal data and would like to withdraw the consent.

If you give consent to the processing of some of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, this does not affect the lawfulness of processing of personal data based on consent before its withdrawal. This means that the processing of personal data until withdrawal of the consent is legal.
