About event

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo would like to cordially invite you to an online seminar focused on current opportunities in the Egyptian automotive sector. The aim of this meeting is to provide Czech companies with direct contact with key Egyptian players and at the same time present:

  • specificities of the automotive industry in Egypt and sharing experience from the Egyptian market
  • current business opportunities
  • cooperation opportunities (including the possible transfer of part of the production to Egypt, which AOI specializes in)
  • support from GAFI and effective market entry
  • space for questions (Q&A)

Speakers

  • Mr. Karim Naggar (CEO, Kayan Trade) – Official importer and distributor of the ŠKODA brand in Egypt. Mr. Karim Naggar has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, especially with the management and development of Volkswagen Group brands in Egypt. Therefore, he has a unique insight into the functioning of the entire supply chain, an overview of the possibilities of involvement in the sector and the pitfalls of the Egyptian market.
  • Mr. Nasser El Sadany (Advisor to the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization – AOI) – Mr. Nasser will provide a more detailed presentation of the role of AOI in Egyptian industry. AOI is a key state entity with extensive activities in the fields of industry, manufacturing and the defense sector and can offer various forms of cooperation to companies from the automotive industry, including the possibility of moving part of the production to Egypt.
  • Ms. Mai Tawfik (senior officer at the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones – GAFI) – Ms. Mai Tawfik will help companies gain insight into the system of the State Investment Authority, which serves as a gateway for foreign companies, facilitates the process of establishing businesses and offers investment incentives.
