Work and fun, such was the content of the Automotive Leaders Forum event, which took place on 27 June in the functionalist building of Galerie Mánes. For the second year of this unique event, the Association of the Automotive Industry invited not only representatives of AutoSAP member companies, but also other guests, both from the state administration and cooperating organizations.
The hundred or so participants were first greeted by Martin Jahn, President of the Automotive Industry Association and member of the Board of Directors of Škoda Auto, who expressed his hope that the second half of the year would bring more reasons for optimism to the automotive sector. The speech of the Minister of Transport Martin Kupka was also quite positive and revolved mainly around the Euro 7 emission standard.
The clear connection between companies in the automotive industry and the energy company ČEZ was emphasized in a brief and clear friendly presentation “Green energy and automotive as an interconnected whole” by Kamil Čermák, Chairman of the Board and CEO of ČEZ ESCO, the representative of the general partner of the event.
The evening also included the announcement of the winners of the Automotive Business of the Year 2022 competition, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech, Strojmetal Aluminium Forging, Toyota Tsusho Europe SA Czech Republic Branch, 3M Czech Republic, SULCO Automotive Group and Tawesco Automotive. The awarded companies received traditional handmade original glass sculptures from the workshop of glass master Lukáš Šulc from Železný Brod.
In the Art Restaurant Mánes, there was quality catering and pleasant musical accompaniment, both of which added to the friendly atmosphere during the subsequent informal networking.
We would like to thank the partners of the event, which were ČEZ ESCO (general partner), Czech Banking Association, onsemi, Panattoni, Renomia, Toyota Manufacturing Czech, Vitesco Technologies (main partners) and Continental, Ferona, Iveco Bus and Valeo (partners). The media partner was the magazine Český autoprůmysl, which will return to the event in more detail in the September issue.
We would also like to thank all the guests for their participation and we look forward to the next edition together with them.
