Automotive Leaders Forum is a completely new and unique event in the Czech Republic. As the name suggests, its aim is to invite leaders active in the automotive industry to a joint meeting, not only from among our members, but also from its immediate surroundings. Not only owners, CEOs and managers of companies operating in the automotive industry were present at Žofín, but also other personalities graced the evening with their presence – Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Síkela, who gave the opening speech of the evening, Minister of Transport Martin Kupka, Chairman of ČMKOS Josef Středula, President of the Confederation of Industry Jaroslav Hanák and Member of the European Parliament Kateřina Konečná.
For the opening, working part of the evening, the topics of the lectures offered themselves. It is the chip shortage, which has long plagued the entire sector, but currently it is also the energy crisis, which significantly affects the condition of companies. The presentations were therefore given by the most competent persons – Karsten Schnake, ŠKODA AUTO board member responsible for purchasing, who is responsible for the chip agenda throughout the parent group, and Josef Kotrba, chairman of Deloitte Czech Republic, who is an expert in the energy sector.
In a less formal, but all the more festive part of the evening, the Automotive Business of the Year was announced as part of the Association’s traditional competition, which is based on the economic results of the previous year. The awards were presented by representatives of the evening’s partners – RENOMIA, Panattoni Czech Republic, Huawei Technologies Czech, the Czech Banking Association and Deloitte Czech Republic, with Martin Kupka as the last presenter. Congratulations and the handing over of glass horse statuettes went to representatives of the awarded companies – 3M Czech Republic, RETEX, Tiberina Automotive Bělá, Ferona, Toyota Tsusho Europe SA Czech Republic Branch and Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech.
